Today marks 50 years since the Woolworth’s sit-in in Jackson, Mississippi when a white mob attacked a racially mixed group seated at a whites-only lunch counter.
i see things like this and i’m proud of how strong black people were in the face of this utter bullshit… how they literally practiced remaining calm and to not lash out… that’s takes the type of willpower and determination the average person does not possess.
i wish a muhfucka would pour some shit in my hair. i swear to god.
